North and South Link, Broadgate, City of London
Architect: SOM
Lighting Consultant: Maurice Brill Lighting Design
Consultant: M3 Consulting
Although much of the Broadgate Estate was completed in 1990 it is still expanding and being enhanced. Part of this ongoing development is the area beneath Exchange House, known as the North and South Link. For this, DAL worked with the design team to create a new lighting system to replace the original scheme, which was supplied by DAL in the early nineties.
Product Information
Called the Propellers, the luminaires have a multiple lamp package consisting of linear fluorescent uplighters and a CDM-T downlighter. The green-black paint finish that matches the building enhances the strong lines and slim appearance of the new fixtures and blends with the architecture.
