The Skype workplace philosophy of bringing people together through communication and collaboration required lots of open plan spaces that supported planned and impromptu meetings, whether formal or informal. The aesthetic, smart but casual, lead the design team to work with array of natural fabrics in a palette of vibrant colours and classic patterns. With this in mind the lighting consultants and designers created with Designed Architectural Lighting a selection of shade-lights that feature throughout the Skype offices.
